Our story
Our story begins not with a gym, but with a revelation.
In October 2015, while preparing for the Soweto Marathon, our founder, Neo Dimati, was on a 10km run that traced the contours of his past. It was in Carletonville, a mining town symbolic of his roots. The run was a grueling one, ending on a mountain at the foot of a cross. In that moment, he experienced a profound vision: a feeling of transcendence, a glimpse of "heaven on earth."
That single, powerful premonition became our blueprint. Gladiator Fitness Club SA was founded on this very idea: that everyone holds the capacity for transcendence, to rise above their limits and find their best physical, mental, and spiritual vitality.
What began as an accessible, user-friendly platform for our community —built on an ethos of discipline, resilience, and commitment —has evolved. That original spark now illuminates a new path.
Today, we carry that same spirit from our community roots into the corporate world. As a premier corporate wellness brand, we understand that the modern workplace is its own kind of mountain to climb. We partner with companies to help their teams find that same transcendence, enhancing social fiber and building a culture of holistic well-being.
From that mountain in 2015 to the boardrooms of today, our mission remains unchanged: to prove, every single day, that

The Founder's Vision
Officially established in 2015, Gladiator Fitness Club SA was created to meet an urgent need for an accessible and user-friendly platform for the community to adopt a healthy lifestyle. The driving force was Neo (G-Master Neo), a lifelong sportsman whose transition into professional fitness was a natural one. He built the club's programs on an ethos of discipline and commitment, aiming to inspire members to be "goal driven, resilient and consistent" in their self-development.
A qualified health and wellness trainer, Neo acquired his Group Exercise Instructor & Aqua qualification with HFPA in 2019 to apply both scientific and personal experience to his training.
Our Evolution: From Community to Corporate
From the beginning, our training techniques included aerobics, functional training, boot camp, and calisthenics. However, our mission has always been about more than just physical exercise. Our core objectives are to:
- Ignite, elevate, and inculcate physical, mental, and spiritual vitality.
- Enhance the social fiber of our community through active participation.
- Curb social ills by expanding the reach of wellness.
Today, we have expanded that original mission. While our community roots remain strong, Gladiator Fitness Club SA also operates as a premier corporate wellness brand, bringing our unique approach to health and vitality into the workplace.
We continue to drive our message forward in every community and company we partner with, guided by our founder's favorite axiom: IMPOSSIBLE IS NOTHING.
